School bus

Field trips are back and our students have traveled throughout the Bay Area this month!

  • La Honda and Pescadero Preschool students took a trip to the beautiful Filoli Historic House and Garden this week. The preschools are participating in the Filoli Adventures in Nature Preschool Program which includes three field trips and an annual membership for each family and preschool staff.

  • La Honda Elementary took a trip earlier this month to the Arata’s Pumpkin Patch as an all-school field trip. A good time was had by all!

  • The 4th/5th grade students from La Honda Elementary and the 5th grade students from Pescadero Elementary traveled to Angel Island for some exploratory fun together. This trip is part of a larger plan to help students from the two schools build relationships before integrating in Middle School.

  • Middle School students hopped on the bus and vans several times this month to visit Bean Hollow State Beach with Mr. Geraci.

  • High school students also took an environmental trip to the tide pools for an engaging hands-on science experience.

  • Lastly, high school students took a college exploration trip to Stanford University where they toured the campus to get a college experience.

These trips are part of our work in place-based learning as well as a wonderful way to engage with our natural surroundings.
