Place-based education connects learning with communities to increase student engagement, student outcomes, and community impact. Place-based educators look at communities through the lenses of culture, economy, and ecology.
LHPUSD teachers are learning about the 6 design principles of place-based education with support from the San Mateo County Office of Education. We will be piloting place-based education units in Spring 2023!
