We have had great success with PMHS students taking on the challenge of tuning and fixing many of the bicycles community members have generously donated to the school.
As we anticipate our shipment of bicycles from the Outride Program, LHPUSD and Safe Routes to School have resorted to finding other ways to engage students; Free Wheels an initiative which focuses on repairing old bicycles with the incentive for students to keep after, has provided many participants with the opportunity to safely test ride, learn bicycle mechanics, and create momentum around bicycle culture here at the PMHS.
We're looking forward to growing this program and continuing to provide students the opportunity to earn some Free Wheels, as well as organizing a series of community rides in the near future.
