MLK Jr

Monday, January 17th, we celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr.  who was a prominent civil rights leader and activist. He was the leader of a non-violent movement in protest of racial discrimination in federal and state law. He was assassinated in Memphis in 1968.

In 1963, at the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, Martin Luther King, Jr gave his famous speech, I Have a Dream. It is a beautiful and powerful speech. Have a listen.
