LHPUSD has participated in the Rural School Design Program with Transcend Education since July, 2021. During the the 2021-2022 school year, our Core Team engaged with our parents, students and staff to answer the question, "How does our school community experience our schools?"
Over 75 students, parents, staff and community members were interviewed and survey data was analyzed to guide the Core Team to develop a Case for Change.
In 2022-2023, we continued our work with Transcend. Staff engaged in regular professional development to support place-based education and the Core Team worked to develop a research-based Instructional Framework.
On Wednesday, the Core Team shared the Draft Instructional Framework 1.0 with teaching staff. We are excited about planning the implementation of this framework over the next two years.
