Hello all PES and LHE 5th Grade Families, First, I am hoping this message finds all of our LHPUSD families recovered from the lack of power, heat, and water this past week and all that goes with those disruptions. Finding ourselves well into the third quarter of the school year, I would like to invite all 5th Grade families and students to our next Fifth Grade Transition activities we have prepared for you all. Please SAVE THE DATES for these two important events! Fifth Grade Parent Night Thursday, February 29 @ 6:00 - 7:30 pm This is an opportunity for parents of PES and LHE fifth grade students to meet with a panel of middle school staff, students, and teachers who will speak to a variety of topics important for all fifth grade parents to hear about. Questions will as well be taken from you all, our fifth grade parents, and answered as best we can! Finally, Mr. Phil will take any parents interested on a campus tour and will be available for all other questions about our school culture, curriculum, and instruction. Pescadero Middle School Shadow Day Tuesday, March 5 This is an opportunity for all PES and LHE students to be bussed to Pescadero Middle School for a day of pairing up with a 6th grade student and following that student throughout the day, to classes, breaks, recess, lunch, so as to allow our fifth grade students to live a day in the shoes of our 6th grade students, making for a wonderful transition to the 6th grade in August! Following these two events, or at any time prior, Mr. Phil is always available for conversations specific to your student's needs and specific academic program.
