“Jumpstart’s Read for the Record is the world’s largest shared reading experience that celebrates children’s early language and social-emotional development. The event-- a day of celebration and fun-- builds an intergenerational community through reading and raises awareness around the critical importance of early literacy and access to inclusive, high-quality books.”
This year’s book was “With Lots of Love”
written by Jenny Torres Sanchez and illustrated by Andre Ceolin. It is a beautiful story about family, finding ways to stay connected, and sharing love across distances.
